City Springs Theatre Company is thrilled to continue its acclaimed 2024-2025 PNC Season with their most ambitious production to date, Ragtime: The Musical, running from March 14–30 at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center’s Byers Theatre.

Based on E.L. Doctorow’s 1975 novel, Ragtime transports audiences to turn-of-the-century New York City, where the intersecting lives of three diverse families reveal the struggles and hopes of the American dream. The three-time Tony Award winning musical is celebrated for its rich storytelling and historical depth, featuring real-life figures like Booker T. Washington, J.P. Morgan and Harry Houdini.

“While the musical is decidedly contemporary, it’s very reflective of classic, grand, musical dramas like South Pacific and The Sound of Music” shared Natalie DeLancey, executive director of City Springs Theatre Company. “Not only is it the biggest show we’ve produced, but it’s a very delicate one that requires a great deal of respect and empathy from every artist involved.”

Directed and choreographed by Todd L. Underwood, the production boasts a stellar cast led by Broadway’s Jonathan Christopher (Sweeney Todd), Kristine Reese (Les Misérables), and Jordan Sam Rich (Jersey Boys).
